My name is Nick Hogan. I am a barrister at Maurice Byers Chambers in Sydney, Australia.

I practice mainly in the areas of insurance and commercial law.

I have practiced as a solicitor for 10 years before coming to the Bar. As a result, I have a good understanding of the kinds of information a solicitor might find interesting or useful in the day-to-day running of their practice.

I also understand that most solicitors are time poor. Therefore, through this blog I aim to provide helpful material to solicitor colleagues in a user-friendly and compendious fashion.

It might be a useful practice tip, an interesting trend in litigation or even just a curiosity but at all times I try to ensure the content is relevant and informative.
